Sample Essay Questions On ReligionOne of the most difficult aspects of taking the LSAT, or any standardized test for that matter, is writing the LSAT sample essay questions. Some of the harder essay questions are to do with religion and especially the sample essay question on the topic of faith. The reader should be prepared to have a good deal of religious views expressed in this sample essay question. The sample essay has three parts. The first part asks the reader to decide what happens when two people are involved in a debate about faith. The second part includes a biblical story that can serve as an example. The third part questions how religion affects a person's ability to make critical decisions. There are several questions about religion that the sample essay will ask the reader. Two examples are, 'What is the relationship between belief in God and your success?' and 'What does it mean for a person to be able to trust in something or someone that we do not believe in?' These t ypes of questions revolve around definitions of religion and definitions of faith. It will also examine issues concerning the relationship between God and man and issues regarding what we call faith and what is really faith. One of the issues about the sample essay questions that is explored is the issue of how religion affects one's ability to make decisions. In this question, the writer considers two Biblical stories that point out different ways religion impacts a person's decision making process. One example is the story of Abraham and Isaac.According to the story, Isaac becomes confused about his faith and decided to sacrifice his son because he thought he had no choice. When Isaac and Sarah discovered that they were going to have a son, Isaac asked the Lord to let him choose whether or not to sacrifice Isaac. The Lord did not answer Isaac's prayer but told him to choose between Isaac and his infant son. So Abraham chose Isaac. The second story is about Jacob, who had been traine d in the skills of religion and decided to make a great decision. He decided to go on a journey to get to his sister, who had been sold into slavery by his brother. When he got to his sister, the sister asked Jacob if he would kill her brother because she had become pregnant by Jacob.According to the story, when Jacob asked God for a sign, God sent him two signs. The first sign was that Jacob's three years old daughter would be with child. The second sign was that the baby would be a boy. In response to Jacob's request, God gave Jacob two signs of approval. But faith is not all about Jesus Christ or trusting in His authority. It is also about one's ability to make decisions in a manner that best serves his or her purposes. It will be interesting to see how the average test taker handles the samples contained in the various LSAT essays.
